HB 174:  “Increasing the maximum weight of a utility terrain vehicle to 3,500 pounds unladen dry weight.” This increases the weight of UTVs allowed on state land by 75%-. For comparison: the curb weight of a 2023 Toyota Tacoma is 3,915 pounds. Since >80%  of NH’s OHRV trail systems are on private lands, or town roads, including class VI, this could have a significant impact on private lands. Passed House Resource Recreation and Development Committee. Inexpedient to Legislate by House. More information here.
